The Gozo Action Group Foundation (GAGF) announces the launch of Measure 1 \u2018Keeping the Culture and Traditions of Gozo Alive\u2019<\/strong> \u2013 under the EU funded CAP Strategic Plan (LEADER) 2023-2027. This action is part of the Local Development Strategy for Gozo.<\/p>\n

The objective of the measure is to enable the distinctive elements of the culture and traditions of Gozo to serve as a means of enhancing the quality of life in the Region. Activities supported by the measure will culminate in at least one event in Gozo during a pre-determined period to serve as a focal point where culture and tradition will engender social interactions between the different demographic cohorts of the resident and visitor population, thereby helping ensure they are preserved and evolved to be passed on to future generations.<\/p>\n

The total budget allocated for this measure is \u20ac415,418.82 <\/strong>of public funds. The minimum amount of assistance that can be requested by the applicant is \u20ac5,000, while the maximum is \u20ac50,000. The aid intensity is 80%, as per CAP SP (2023-2027).<\/p>\n

The eligible beneficiaries are Local and Regional councils, VOs, Educational Institutes, micro\/small enterprises and private individuals. All applicants must have a physical centre of activity\/address in the Gozo region and\/or have a direct interest in activities in the region, proven through a track record. A partnership between entities towards an application is not a requirement.<\/p>\n

An information session will be held online on Tuesday, 9th September 2025 at 10:00 a.m<\/strong>. Interested beneficiaries are to send an email on info@leadergozo.eu.<\/p>\n

The call for proposals is open under an Open Rolling Call Procedure. Applications will be assessed in batches based on their submission time, with each batch evaluated separately from subsequent ones until funds are exhausted. The Application and Guidance Notes are accessible on the GAGF\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
