The Gozo Action Group Foundation (GAGF) announces the launch of Measure 4 ‘Promoting Health and Sustainable Lifestyle in Gozo’ – under the EU funded CAP Strategic Plan (LEADER) 2023-2027. This action is part of the Local Development Strategy for Gozo and Comino.
The aim of this measure is to leverage the distinctive features that Gozo offers to promote healthy (both physical and mental) and sustainable lifestyles, encouraging suitable consumption, recreation, and time management behaviours. This measure allows for the development of amenities such as open spaces, spaces which can be enjoyed by the community for social activities, the promotion of healthy diets – with an emphasis on local gastronomy – and mental well-being.
The total budget allocated for this measure is €415,418.82 of public funds. The minimum amount of assistance that can be requested by the applicant is €15,000, while the maximum is €50,000. The aid intensity is 80%, as per CAP SP (2023-2027).
The eligible beneficiaries are Local and Regional councils, VOs, Educational Institutes and micro and small enterprises. All applicants must have a physical centre of activity located in the Gozo region and/or have a direct interest in activities in the region, proven through a track record. A partnership between entities towards an application is not a requirement.
An information session will be held online on Tuesday, 8th July 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interested beneficiaries are to send an email on info@leadergozo.eu.
The call for proposals is open under an Open Rolling Call Procedure. Applications will be assessed in batches based on their submission time, with each batch evaluated separately from subsequent ones until funds are exhausted.
