GAG 1: Gozo in the 21st Century
This measure supports the creation of an ICT (and other) media platform to showcase the various aspects of Gozitan lifestyle which can serves as the base for sustainable development by enabling access to business, governance, and non-government organizations to media resources in an organized set-up, while in itself creating a ‘new economy’ activity in Gozo.

GAG 2: A Truly Holistic Gozitan Gastronomy
This action aims to create projects involving Gozitan agriculture and food produced and/or consumed in Gozo in a manner which sustains the appreciation and evolution of the Gozitan culinary tradition, generates better economic value added in Gozitan agriculture and food production, and which benefits the health of consumers.

GAG 3: Gozitan Attractions and Innovative Events for All Seasons
This measure aims to aid in the investment of infrastructure and innovative events which will in a complementary manner strengthen Gozo’s tourism offering so as to enhance performance across all seasons in a sustainable manner.

GAG 4: Rejuvenating Gozo
This action will improve the amenities and services in Gozo so as to improve the quality of life for young persons and young families, thereby contributing to retaining skills and to demographic and cultural regeneration.

Measures forming part of the 2023-2027 Local Development Strategy:
Measure 1: Keeping the Culture and Traditions of Gozo Alive
The objective of the measure is to enable the distinctive elements of the culture and traditions of Gozo to serve as a means of enhancing the quality of life in the Region. Activities supported by the measure will culminate into at least one event to serve as a focal point where culture and tradition will engender social interactions between different demographic cohorts of resident and visitor population. Furthermore, culture and traditions at risk of being lost will be kept alive especially among the younger population and immigrants, thereby being preserved and evolved to be passed on to future generations.

Measure 2: Youth Entrepreneurship in Gozo: Taking Ideas to the Marketplace
This measure will support youths and micro enterprises to develop creative business ideas which can benefit the rural society of Gozo. It will also support youths who are already in a business activity but may wish to diversify, furthering their business or tap into other markets. The support is intended to promote youth entrepreneurship allowing for the improvement of pathways for young people to access economic opportunities in rural areas.

Measure 3: Empowering Communities to Act as Environmental Stewards
The general aim of this measure is to improve the quality of the environment of the Region through small-scale initiatives within the territory. This measure will enable communities to put into action small-scale plans aimed at improving the quality of life through interventions that would address water conservation, climate change, biodiversity, waste management and emissions to the environment.

Measure 4: Promoting Health and Sustainable Lifestyle in Gozo
As a small island and rural area, Gozo offers distinctive features which can be used to promote healthy (both physical and mental health) and sustainable lifestyles (encouraging suitable consumption, recreation, and time management behaviours). Local products are conducive towards a healthy Mediterranean diet and the unique natural and man-made environmental assets coupled with a slower pace of life and raw landscape offer an environmental which contribute towards a better wellbeing.
